My '85 244 is running fine so here's a trivial comment: When we say our bricks have the ORIGINAL starter or the ORIGINAL clutch we mean the starter and clutch that came with the car when it was new, right? So when someone says their brick has for example 150,000 ORIGINAL miles I think how can that be? Aren't the ORIGINAL miles zero?

'85, 244, 248K miles, M46, with original starter, clutch, alternator and B230F that doesn't leak oil. But it has a lot of rust that's not original!
