I'm glad to announce that I just returned from a 2500mi+ trip that covered 10 states between RI and as far south west as Louisville KY in our 83' 245- without incident. I did, however, run into a persistant issue where the combination between a new Nissens radiator supplied by FCP and a replacement overflow tank cap allowed lots of pressure to build up in my cooling system- enough that the coolant in to OF tank was "carbonated"- and in worse cases- I was weeping coolant at the lower hose connection. When I removed the OF tank cap after extended drives it sounded like a bottle of soda. One day after driving ~7hrs, I neglected to check it, and had a puddle of coolant under the car the next morning. - What's going on?
