Solex Penta carbs on my B20? 140-160 1972

I'm the second owner of a beautiful 1972 145 wagon. When the fuel injection died we put on SUs, but they've just never run reliably smooth. i have a set of downdraft Solex marine carburetors. Would these work on my car?
