You'd think as much time as i've spent under Volvo's, that i'd have more of a clue about what's under there.
As a result of putting 800 (hard) miles w/o a lift pump on a 27 year old main pump it started to feel sluggish and have hiccups. I spent part of this morning at a half price sale at The Ecology Center, foraging for pumps.
Found two excellent candidates, for $25(total), the down side somebody snitched a hand full of my tools while i was researching under a car. Not a huge loss but still, put me off.
So in the process of removing Ruby's main pump, i noticed a kink in the nylon, hose coming off of the banjo fitting, exiting the fuel filter, headed towards the engine.
So how do i fix this? I have another 86 240 for another week or so. It is starting to look like a turkey carcass the day after. and my wife is discreetly asking me about when it might find a home somewhere else.
Is there real fuel line somewhere under the car that I can tie into, how do i deal with the banjo fitting?
pictures and diagrams are always welcome
