Pedestrians… 200 1990

When I stop at a light and am waiting my mind starts to wander towards the extent of the universe or the nature of the human soul… and then oops: the brake pedal goes down about an inch and the car roles forward about a foot. That funny brake light comes on too. But the pedestrians who cross in front of me are starting to complain!
Within the last six months the “octopus” valve has been replaced, all the brake calipers have been checked and/or replaced and the entire system has been bled, including the master cylinder. No leaks have been detected.

What could it be?
