Is a Crank Position Sensor Hard to Install? 900

Hi! I am buying a 1993 940 wagon that needs a crank position sensor. It was my old neighbor's car, and she got another car, so she doesn't want to fix this before selling it. I had the same issue on my 240 wagon, and the sensor solved the problem right away. I was told that a code came up that the sensor does need to be replaced, and the car cranks but will not turn over.

If replacing this sensor is an easy fix, I'd like to attempt to do it myself because I'd like to do as much on my own as possible. Is this an easy thing to do? If so, what tools would I need, and what is the best brand to buy and the best place to get it? Do I do this from under the hood or from underneath the car? Any guidance at a COMPLETELY ELEMENTARY LEVEL would be appreciated!!

Thanks,

Susan
