I have posted this in another forum, but there seems little feedback.
After owning my beloved 85' 240 for a few years, she decided to "give up the ghost" with a mere 540,000kms on the clock. just broken in. Anyway, I purchased another 240 of the same year and will be getting that one legal.
The issue is the fuel regulator, the type that sits beneath the intake manifold, needs replacing. I have just removed a good one from my old car, and considering the battle to remove it I am considering having to remove the intake manifold on my "new" 240 just to replace the fuel regulator.
Is there an online resource that would help me out? Is there a trick?
Secondly. The good fuel regulator I just removed is very oily and dirty, how do you clean this without having to recalibrate it?
Any help would be appreciated.
cheers, Gareth
