Wiper motor issues 444-544 1962

I just picked up a '62 PV 544, and am just now beginning to dive into some of the issues with the car.

The first one is the wiper motor. Very important where I am considering how much it rains here! (I'm in Portland, for those that wonder.)

The current motor moves the wipers very slowly across the window. They also don't automatically return to their parked position when the switch is turned off.

What's the process for pulling the motor out? Is it similar to a 122? (I've had the wiper out of my 122 before).

Is it possible to retrofit a 2 speed wiper motor in place of the single speed? If so I'd love details about how that is done.
