My wife was driving the 240 and I was following. I noticed none of the brake lights were functional. When we got home I did some quick checks.
Fuse #7 - good
Bulb failure warning light - functional but not indicating a failure
I pulled the bulb failure relay and brought it inside. Careful examination revealed 2 cracked solder joints in the middle circuit board layer.
I cleaned and tinned my soldering iron and was able to successfully re flow the solder and added just a touch of additional solder.
Back on the road with brake lights!!!
The fuel relay is not the only relay subject to solder cracking!!
Drive Carefully!
