142 vs 240 (Carpet Kits) 140-160

Hey all,

Me again! Have been looking everywhere for a carpet kit for the 142. As expected NO ONE makes it.. Doesn't exist.. Wish in one hand, etc and so on.

Ok, so I found a company that makes a carpet kit for a 75-93 240..

Are the vehicles that different that this would be an impossible fit? I know the trans tunnel is different but that should give me room to work with if a custom shop finds themselves having to trim, cut, etc.

It would have to be a custom order after I receive my color samples to ensure a close match so before I pull the trigger on this I want to see what others think.

Isn't the flooring of the vehicles like for like between the two? I know one is 2 door vs 4 but I remember someone saying they are the same size car with exception of that very obvious fact. :)
