hi sages- have replaced many fuel filters on american cars since 65. no problems. have not replaced this filter on my 92 245 which i have had for 3 years. no running problems, starts right up. no leaks. 27 mpg. have looked at the fuel filter under the seat, right next to the main pump. did replace the in tank pump and fuel gage sender back in 11. looks like a simple straight forward job. however have read on this board that the job can be hellacious , breaking lines and jamming banjo bolts, leaks , severe cursing and the specter of having to take it to a mechanic /dealer and getting soaked. can you give me a step by step with warnings on specific ambushes. thanks tons oldduke
