Heater Valve Issue on Post 91 240s 200 1993

Hello, for some reason I cannot do a search today so I have to post this question which I'm sure has been addressed. My 1993 245 is circulating hot air all the time. I have the newer style heater control. I've had the old style go bad on my 88 and 87 but the newer one seems pretty straightforward. The cable runs fine and the mechanism seems to be opening and shutting but it must be letting just enough coolant by to heat up the car. The vacuum lines are all good and all vents all operate fine. Before I yank this little monster, I just wanted to check in to see if I'm not barking up the wrong tree. I need to hurry as it was 60 today in DC and my A/C is fighting a Sampson and Goliath battle without a sling. Best, Rob
