Key not unlocking door 200 1988

All is lubed and moving as far as the lock on the pillar and the lock where the key goes in. But, it wont push it up enough to unlock drivers door.Can reach in through rear door and pull it up the rest of the way maybe 1/8 inch or so and it opens all other locking functions are fine with the central system its just the drivers door. So before I take the door apart is there something I am missing? Feels like the plunger is just not releasing fully inside the door.
