Napa rebuilt starter 700

Replaced a non working starter,w a napa rebuilt.Worked for about 1 day & 1/2/.Came out of the store,,turned the key & NOTHING!! Turned the key,,,opened the hood to find the starter running BUT NOT EnGAGING????The key was turned off !!
weird.Gotta pull it tomorrow & take it back.
