I recently replaced the kick-down cable on my 90' 780 4 cyl. (It seized up for some reason) I cant seem to get the adjustment right. Right now I have it as tight as it will go and it still shifts really late. I have tried just about everything I can think of and still not much change.

Any tips to adjusting the cable properly, and yes I have dubbed around the forums and tried some of the responses.
