We have a Volvo 245 GL wagon... The drive train and engine are fine however, recently I noted that at idle, my tachometer is indicating an RPM of ~1100 instead of the normal 750 RPM... When it is shifted into drive and idles it is at 750 RPM however, when it is either in Park or Neutral, the idle is at 1100. The Fuel Injection System is an LH which supposedly does not need adjustment. Any ideas as to why the idle may be higher than normal and what could be the remedy will be greatly appreciated...
Many thanks,
