re: fix it before or after_Non Volvo related question

Hi all,

My brother and I have differences when it comes to maintaining our cars. I would like to fix it before it breaks. He on the other hand likes to wait until it breaks down. Based on his aggressive driving habit, these are my recommended service for his Toyota truck w/auto trans. He thinks I am over doing it. I bet we both want to smack each other and run to our Mom but we are middle aged boys. I need to convince him that it's needed in order to keep ours cars for a long time. So I come to ask for your advise. Thank you as always.

Change Mobile 1 synthetic oil with Frame filter at every 5k

Change Frame brand air filter at every 20k

Change transmission fluid at every 30k

Fill up differential fluid at every 30k and Change at every 60k

Flush brake fluid at every 50K

Shocks/strut/brake pads will be replaced as needed

FYI, he almost ruined his transmission around 45k when he didn't changed the fluid. It was shifting very harsh. Also, he ran out of differential fluid. Sigh...
