'84 242 DL w/Chrysler ignition cross reference? 200 1984

I have an '84 242DL non-turbo with the Chrysler ignition. The flimsy pick up assembly, or "ignition pulse sender" as it is called in some listings has failed. The cheesy aluminum foil strip has come away. In looking for a replacement, the item listed for VOLVO is near $200. A seemingly identical, (visually on part listing), item for a Chrysler is $26! Anybody have any info on this?
Jeez, $175 will buy one of the front Koni Sport struts I've been scraping up to buy!
