First Start of the Day: Hard Start 900

'92 940 NA with Regina, 200k miles. Great car, but for a while now the first start of the day is difficult: crank for 4 seconds, no start. Try it again, starts fine.

This is only when cold, the first start of the day, afterward all is well through the day. Seems to be independent of ambient temperature. I've hanged the Coolant Temp. Sensor, the Fuel Pressure Regulator; plugs and wires are recent as is the fuel pump, air filter. Any ideas?
