240 back-up light wires disconnected 200 1989

Hello,

My 89' 240 does not have reverse lights any more. Awhile ago, the wires that run through the stick shift boot to the upper side of the transmission were severed. Either by driving or haphazardly by a mechanic. I was taking the car to mechanics at the time for inspections and other little things. It was much later that I noticed the back-up lights not working any longer.

ANyways, I've orderd numerous female wire connectors and attempted to test them out on the male prongs that stick out of the top of the trannie. It is not easy to get in there with just a hand or fingers. I'm not looking forward to lowering the transmission, but if this is necessary, so be it. What I am really confused about though is the connector piece for attaching the wires to the prongs on top of the trannie. Every different size female bullet connector I've tried does not fit snuggly or is too small. And I have not seen this part on FCP, Eeuroparts, etc.

If anyone knows the name or where to get this connector, I would appreciate it greatly.
