I'm about to restore my 1971 B20B 144S auto. The twin Strombergs need replacement as it is too expensive to repair (and not worth it). I've been offered a Weber 32/36 DGV 5A kit including air filter and inlet manifold specific to the B20 engine, I'll just have to separate my stock, combined manifold.
This is to be a daily driver in New Zealand with a maximum speed limit of 60 mi/h and my typical trip to work is only 2 miles. A couple of times a year I will be towing a trailer for camping, and once a month I do get up to motorway/highway speed.
Is the Weber 32/36 DGV 5A any good? What is it like regarding ongoing tuning? The price for the kit is US$700 which is expensive for you, but not for New Zealand. Thanks for your comments.
