Sticking Ignition Lock 900

My 95 940 has an ignition lock that is slow to return from KPIII (starting) to KPII (run) causing the starter to overrun. Has anyone experienced this? Is it the electrical ignition switch or the lock cylinder/lock mechanism? Spray oil does not seem to help.
