Thanks for the recent help.
I am left with one last fuel/ignition problem.
My cold start idle will not hold - the car starts instantly and idle will drop to zero and stall. I keep the revs up and in several seconds of rough running it sorts itself out.
Once warm - the idle has a tendency to to go low to about 300 rpm and then come up to 750 - and sit at 750 fine.
In the course of some other troubles I have cleaned idle control valve and throttle body. Checked for vacuum leaks. Replaced air mass meter. Checked connections to idle control switch. Replaced RPM sensor. Swapped my ECU.
So I am looking for a few things to do for this idle problem.
Temp sensor? Engine thinks it is cold?
Idle switch?
Failed idle control valve?
Any other thoughts?
Thanks again.
