Connection of plastic tube 900 1992

I was under my car and noticed this thin clear plastic tube dangling near differential. One end of it was connected to a nipple that sits on the right upper part of the differential housing. The other end is loose. There is no such tube on the left side. I looked all around and couldn't see anything it could connect to. It's not black like vacuum tubing...it's clear plastic.
