My driver's side seat belt assembly that mounts just above the rocker panel has the two lower chassis mounts rusted away. The upper two are fine but not enough for safety's sake. So I need to get another one from a donor car.

I assume that I can only use belt assemblies from 1979-ish to 1985 240s (?). But will the passenger side belt assembly work on the driver's side? Do any other assemblies fit into that cubbie hole and the receiver in the middle of the car? The later 240s appear to have different latches which I assume won't fit into the earlier receivers such as in my '84.
