I discovered that one of my electrical connectors to the old pre-pump was making intermittent contact. I cut both off. I had planned to solder the wires directly to the screw posts. This did not work. I think they might be coated with something that the flux does not clean off (Bosch pump). Also, my tool is a cheap gun type.
I have decided to try and locate ring connectors of the correct size tomorrow. The nuts seem to be 1/4". Anyone know the screw size that would accept? And, more importantly, what size ring connectors would I need. All the stock at AutoZone and O'Reilly were far too large.
Finallly, do these connectors need to be a certain type or made of a certain fuel-safe plastic insulation or coated metal rings? I have never worked with fuel tank wiring before and am lost.
By the way, all my questions in my earlier thread have been answered or I have figured out on my own or I just decided to not care. ;-)
