Can one upgrade/strengthen rear suspension? '96 965 900 1996

Hi all,

I sometimes haul heavy things around in the infinitely useful and almost infinite cargo area of my 965. But when I do, the suspension gets pretty squashed. Is there a way to increase the carrying capacity of the rear of the '96 965? Since it's not coils, it seems that I may be out of luck?
