1994 940 Pulse Air System 900

Hello. 1994 940 non turbo. I have checked FAQ but still am not sure. Seems this setup was only used in 1994 & 1995. Some think it affected performance. Some thing it affected emmissions.

As my rubber hose is torn and an expensive part I am thinking to just get rid of this setup. Should I cap up 2 matal pipes coming from exhaust area ? Yes or no ? How about vacuum line - leave it open or seal/cap it ??

Any negatives to removing this set up ? Any positives ??
