Engine stalls when returning to idle...vacuum leak? 200 1988

I have what appears to be a vacuum leak, but don't know where to start looking. My engine runs great until I return to idle, such as when I'm leaving the highway and coming up to a stop sign. Sometimes, the engine will shudder, and get very close to stalling out, and sometimes just dies completely as it returns to idle. This only happens when coming off of 2,000+ RPM and coasting down to a stop. I've recently replaced spark plugs, wires, and distributor pieces. Any ideas as to what this may be, and if I'm correct in diagnosing a vacuum leak? Thanks!
