HELP! 1993 940 T GETTING READY TO DO REAR MAIN SEAL but , all PVC components are free and clear but, I still have excess crank pressure

I planned on replacing the rear main this weekend but, I just checked and I have excess crank pressure at the filler cap. Why would I still have excess crank pressure if the black box is wide open as are all of the hoses including the one going down into the oil pan? It is blowing by the filler cap seal and is leaking oil out the rear main and other seals. It is not leaking out the fron main, or cam or intermediate shaft seal, maybe because it is blowing out the rear main seal and filler cap seal? Anyway, I can't decide if I should pull the trans now, if I may just blow it out again because of excess pressure. I have the weekend planned around this project but what else would cause excess crank pressure if all related components are open?
