Radio Interference wire 200 1990

That wire that's on the valve cover that goes to the firewall.. I'm pretty sure I'm getting interference from the last spark plug boot. The boot is loose (i know I need to replace the wire set)

But, until then, what can I do for this humming acceleration noise. It's a tad annoying.

Should I put on a new insulated wire? If so, what type/gauge works? And should I move the location of that wire as to let less interference? Sorry, The wire was a bit loose from it's connection on the valve cover, (hanging on by a thread) but I crimped it back in and soldered it a bit. Not sure if it's working..

Also too, is there a way to fix that spark plug boot that's loose? It's those damn Bougicord's and they're all good except for the one closest to the firewall. Newer set too, so I don't feel like I should replace them yet, but if I have to I will. With like, say... Magnecore? Last question, if I go the Magnecore route, 8mm is what I want, correct? Does anyone offhand know the part #?
