Fluctuating Temperature Gauge Needle 200 1993

Hello,

My 93 245 Classic has a fluctuating temperature gauge. A new OE coolant temperature sensor has been installed. Fluctuation of the temp needle is still happening. My understanding is that I have the following options:

1) Clean compensating board contacts and reinstall.
2) Replace compensating board altogether.
3) Install IPD temperature board bypass kit.

I am inclined towards the bypass kit. I don't need the temperature gauge compensated. In fact I prefer the simplicity of a "real time" gauge indication.

Has anyone installed the IPD temperature board bypass kit? If so, do you have any comments/opinions one way or another?

Thanks in advance for your comments.
