91 240 4 to 3 pin speedometer swap 200 1991

Hi, I'm throwing a Hail Mary here.

I'm wondering if anybody knows if I can put a speedo from a 91 240 into a 92 or 93 cluster. I'm not sure of the year, but it does have ABS. My car is a 91 with a bad PCB and somebody gave me the newer cluster if you're wondering

The 91 speedo I need (9800) has a 3 pin connector, while the newer one I want to replace (40168) has 4 pins. This being the connector on the circuit board.

The bottom 3 pins seem to follow the same circuits, but I'm easily fooled. The extra top pin is connected to the 9 o'clock pin on the main connector from the ignition switch. The 9 o'clock pin goes first to an upper dash light and there is a leg off that to the extra 4th pin on the speedo. This leg is not on the 91 board.

I can easily bend the extra pin away and mount the speedo and try it, but I'm wondering if that would be the height of recklessness.
