Greetings all,

I have a dilemma, may I have opinions please.
I am restoring to road use a 123gt, it was essentially complete, but the much prized M41 and O/D had been removed, I cannot retrieve it!!!

I managed to obtain a replacement gearbox with the later "J" type O/D, not the "D" as originally was on the car.

The flange for the drive shaft on the "J" is larger than the flange on the "D", I have the original differential, with the smaller flange.

What is the next, best approach?

Do I have the driveshaft modified with a larger flange at the front.
Or can the flange be removed from the back of the O/D and be replaced with the smaller flange.

Thank you for ideas.
