The hard to find parts. vent wing. shift boot. 120-130

Starting work on the '68 220.

Seems to have good blue spark with the original coil and points, so I've sticking with that for a while.

Cranks over seems to have some compression, so that's good.

Fuel lines and tank purged. Carb jets and bowls will be pulled and degummed. We'll see what comes out of the fuel pump.

I'm remembering the weak and hard to find parts.

1. Shift boot. $65 Euros plus $100 Euro shipping from skandix. Yuck. Eric has one in his catalog but it looks like it's for a smaller floor hole, earlier 120.

2. Drivers vent wing upper hinge rivets broken. I expect I'm on my own on this one. I'll have to gingerly extract the glass (and rubber, with luck), and re-rivet the hinge to the frame with a couple of hot pressed rivet, without damaging the chrome. I mean, a vent wing is kinda the basic reason I like this car. Gotta have it.

Actually, that's about it. It's be nice to have a dash bezel that say "O-drive" on it, but I expect I'll have to find that on a derelict, someday, somewhere.

BTW does one of those Wilwood clutch master cylinders exactly replace the original? Sure looks like it does.
