Just received my grill surround from the plater, and it's so good I want to make the inside filler correct. I am lucky in having a straight and unbent specimen, but the metal is either badly primed, badly painted, or losing the original plated (?) finish. Does anyone know what it should be--bright chrome, dull electrogalvanized zinc, gray primer, other?
