A/C Evaporator Hose to Compressor 200

I have an 85 244 and 2 years ago I changed over to R134 and a new compressor(rotory) but still used the older evaporator to compressor hose. It took a lot of manipulating the hose,now I think it's time to change it out. Will a hose from a 1990 fit the evaporator connection? This hose is the only one that goes through the firewall to the evaporator.
