Indicator relay ticking intermittently 200 1993

Hi all,

Been having issues with my turn signal indicator relay, it ticks intermittently when my turn signal is not in use. I definitely know it's this relay because I can hear it and have removed it and the ticking stops. I removed the plastic cover to inspect it further and nothing seems to be wrong (to my eyes). No cracks on the soldered board. I then bought a used one from the local Volvo shop and same issue persists.

Could the problem be a faulty switch or the wiring? Where to search next??
