Ok.
It's an old car but mileage is less than 140,000 miles. Anyway, Ijust returned from road trip--about 1,500 miles there and back along US 95 between Florida and Virginia.
On the way back I ran into a problem in Jacksonville when I made a wrong turn and left the highway. I used GPS to get back on and while waiting for light at on ramp, engine starting slowing down..like it wanted to quit. I turned her off and restarted when light turned green. Got back up on the highway and prayed my way home. She ran fine--70-75 mph.
When I got off highway, I was afraid to turn the car off while my passenger unloaded. It sounded strange, sputtered and went out. Tow truck driver suggested it might be fuel pump.
Mechanic has had car for three days. Says it started but sounds rough. They are still trying to find the cause. I am bumming rides and missing my Volvo mechanic who retired last year.:(.
Any ideas? I need to keep her running for awhile longer.
