Instrument cluster wires 200 1982

In working on my central locking issues, I came across a couple of disconnected plugs behind the instrument panel that I wasn't sure about. There is a red wire with a two prong blue female plug coming from what I guess could be a backup battery compartment for the clock, and I can see two male prongs directly attached to the circuit board behind the clock that are not being utilized. Not sure why it would be unplugged but that's my guess as to what it is.

The other wire is a complete mystery. It's a smaller red/white wire with a female spade connector hanging loose with enough slack to reach almost anywhere behind there, but I cannot locate a match for it anywhere. It breaks out of the main harness run so I can't trace it anywhere and have no manuals/schematics for this car yet.

Any ideas or help would be much appreciated! And thank you
