Low oil pressure question 200

Hello

Got a question about oil pressure

I have had a bad ignition switch at the key ignition for years. It's the famous problem where I have to click it back a notch after starting to regain contacts for the car's accessories, radio wipers etc.

Well whenever I do that the voltage drops a bit in the gauges.
What's worrisome is my oil pressure sits at zero bars in the red and barely above 1at highway cruising speed. But if don't fiddle with the ignition switch and keep the voltage higher throughout the system, my oil pressure gauge reads normal 2bars at idle and 3-4bars at cruising speed.

Is this a sign of a bad oil pump O-ring ?
A flickering oil pressure idiot light when I'm idling stopped in traffic isn't the best for peace of mind.
Anybody know some places to investigate before dropping the pan and hanging some O-rings?

-Dipstick tube looks fine
-oil leaks 1/2 a quart every 2-3 weeks from the right hand side of the red block around the head gasket but I've never had a problem with low oil pressure

.. And the ignition key voltage seems odd for peace of mind.
Maybe it's the gauge or signal sender unit.

Anybody have some troubleshooting tips or experiences to share ?
