Steering rack HP lines replacement 200 1993

I have , I believe, a CAM rack which has a leak in one of the metal lines on the rack. Not the lines to/from, but two metal lines, brake line size, brake line fittings on each end which are part of the rack.
Has anyone replaced these with say, brake line?
Can one get brake line and bend it to shape with fittings on each end.
Hate to replace a whole rack for one leaky pipe (it rusted through).
