1988 740 turbo tranny swap

Hello everyone,
I'm about to do a transmission swap on my 1988 740 turbo from AW71 to a manual. Have the choice of either a 5 speed tranny out of a 240 or a 4 speed with electric O/D from a donor 740 turbo wagon. which tranny is best? and will the one from the 240 fit the 740. Any help is greatly appreciated
