throttle body butterfly slipped on shaft 700 1990

Following the Bentley book instructions, I cleaned the throttle body and the butterfly, I adjusted the idle screw, and I adjusted the throttle switch. Then I was checking to make sure the throttle hit the stops - I pushed the accelerator pedal all the way down but I think I pushed it way too far, that is past the full throttle stop.
The butterfly is closed at idle, but now when I turn the throttle lever by hand to full throttle the butterfly is only about 3/4 of the way to full open, that is, it's not level across the throat for full air passage.
I fear I might have damaged the screws that hold the butterfly to the shaft or the shaft itself. Anyone have advice for what I should do next. Thanks in advance
