Identify this part... 900 1992

I found something under my car (in my driveway) that I need help identifying. It looks like half a donut...reddish in color. Material is not rubber, but kind of spongy and very brittle. It fell apart in my fingers before I could take a picture of it. I'm guessing this is some kind of spacer. Diameter on one side is larger than on the other. It's too brittle to be a bushing. Any ideas?
