I have a'93 Volvo 240 wagon that won't start. The engine turns over fine. Battery and starter good. Despite having new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and new ignition coil, I don't get spark when I remove one plug and hold it against the engine. (I DO get spark when I do this on my'91 Volvo.)
In addition to this, i do not hear the the main fuel pump prime when turning the key to the run position (but I hear it in my '91). I think I can hear the pump in the tank wurr after turning it over but it's hard to tell even with my ear against the top of the tank. I believe the main pump has power as I got numbers on my multimeter when testing across the terminals. (I'm unsure if I got the RIGHT numbers as I just bought the multimeter and wasn't sure if I had it set right).
What could cause no spark and no fuel at the same time?
