tips for holding on wastegate actuator rod? 900

So it looks like my wastegate actuator rod came off the little shaft behind the turbo and whatever hole the cotter pin went through is completely blocked with either rust or the remnants of the pin. Space is so tight in there, there's no way I can try to drill it out. Any tips for holding it on with something else? Thanks!
