Neutral Safety Switch Adjustment / Replacement Quesitons 900

I've been having intermittent no starts in Park and intermittent no backup lights on the 92 945T. Naturally this occurs just as the car needs to pass state inspection.

I've removed nearly all of the console and up through the radio to get the driver's side panel off to gain access to the shifter.

However I don't see how to adjust the neutral safety switch at all. It appears that from the driver's side I'm looking at the wrong end of some screws or other attachments. From the passenger side I don't see the other end of them either since they are behind several plastic things.

The FAQ's make reference to later 940s needed to remove the whole shifter assembly from the bottom, but even if I did that I still don't see how to get access to clean, adjust, or replace the neutral safety switch. I may do that anyway to replace the bushings in the linkages since the whole shifter assembly can rock back and forth.

Confused in Manassas
