Issues with Bilstein Rear Shocks? 200

Installed Bilstein touring struts in the front and touring shocks in the rear. The front rides perfectly - smooth but firm.

The rear is a different story. The best way to describe it is that the rear end feels unstable. Driving down a road with potholes, the rear tires feel like they momentarily lose contact with the road over each bump, and the amount of noise and vibration that is transmitted through the body of the car is ridiculous. Granted, a 240 is not a Mercedes, but the thing rides like the shocks are filled with concrete.

I wonder if the shocks were not valved correctly. I am thinking about trying KYBs and tossing the Bilsteins in the trash. I could use new bushings back there, but I don't think that would cause the problems I am having?
