1990 240 DL-Sputter/Hesitation issue 200 1990

Hi Everyone,
I just purchased a 1990 Volvo 240 DL Wagon with 213,000 miles about 2 weeks ago (my 1st Volvo) It was very well taken care of from the person i bought it from. I am having a problem and hope i could get some help ( i have been searching this website for info, thanks for all the posts)

After i drive the wagon for about 15 minutes, it starts to sputter and hesitate for 10 minutes and barley drives. Then all of a sudden the sputter goes away and it drives normal with no issues with the idle. The first time it happen, the check engine light came on and the code was for the Mass Air Sensor. I purchased a new Mass Air Sensor and installed. After i drove it, same problem after 15 minutes of driving the sputtering starts for about 10 minutes and then the car drives fine. The check engine light has not come back on since the new Mass Air Sensor was installed. I have driven the car about 5 times since i bought it and the same problem every time after about 15 minutes, sputtering starts.

I installed a new mass Airflow Sensor
cleaned the Throttle Body
Installed a new Flame Trap (Old one was clean when i took it out)
I looked at the Air Box Thermostat and i seem to be ok
It has a full tank of gas

From reading some older threads on here do you think it might be the distributor cap and rotor? I have all the service records from the person i bought it off of and the wagon had a full tune up about 1 year ago. I am new to the volvo 240 so any help i would really appreciate! I did order a Bentley Book, but it has not arrived yet

Thanks,
Dave
